Orange Crush 12 — 12W All-Analogue Practice Combo Amp

The Orange Crush 12 is the smallest fully analogue combo in the Crush series, packing 12 Watts of authentic Orange tone into a compact single-channel cabinet. This model pairs a custom 6" Voice of the World speaker with a fully analogue signal path, covering everything from clean sparkle to full-on distortion. Designed for players who want genuine British-flavored crunch without waking the neighbours, the Crush 12 fits comfortably on a desk, shelf, or studio floor.

All-Analogue Signal Path and CabSim Headphone Output

Unlike most practice amps in this tier, the Crush 12 stays fully analogue from input to output, delivering the immediacy and feel of a proper valve amp with smooth breakup and touch-sensitive response. The CabSim-loaded headphone output is a genuine standout — an analogue circuit emulating a miked-up Orange 4×12 cabinet carrying Voice of the World speakers, so silent practice still feels like playing through a full stack.

Power & Speaker — Compact Punch from a Custom Driver

At 12 Watts through a single 6" driver, this combo is small enough for a bookshelf yet loud enough for bedroom jams and casual rehearsals. The custom Voice of the World speaker is engineered specifically for the Crush series, delivering surprising depth and punch for its size.

• Output Power: 12 W — enough headroom for small gigs and band rehearsals
• Speaker: Custom 6" Voice of the World — Orange-designed driver tuned for the Crush series
• Single-channel layout with a dedicated Overdrive control for clean-to-crunch transitions

Controls & EQ — Three-Band Shaping with Dedicated Overdrive

Separate Gain and Overdrive knobs work together to take you from clean to saturated distortion, while the three-band EQ responds musically rather than mathematically.

• EQ Section: Bass, Middle, Treble — full three-band equaliser for precise tone sculpting
• Drive Controls: Gain, Overdrive, Volume — independent stages for layered saturation
• CabSim-loaded headphone output doubles as a line-out for silent recording into an audio interface

Dimensions & Build — Portable, Road-Ready Construction

Wrapped in the iconic basket-weave vinyl tolex that has defined Orange for decades, this combo is built to survive daily practice and travel.

• Dimensions (W × H × D): 30.5 × 29 × 17.5 cm — bookshelf-friendly footprint
• Weight: 4.7 kg — light enough to carry to lessons or rehearsals
• AC-powered with no battery operation, footswitch input, or onboard reverb — pure plug-and-play simplicity
• Available in Orange or Black basket-weave vinyl tolex

Who Is the Orange Crush 12 For?

The Orange Crush 12 is the right choice for bedroom players, beginners, and apartment dwellers who need authentic Orange tone at neighbour-friendly volumes. Its CabSim headphone output makes it ideal for silent late-night practice and home recording without disturbing anyone. Pedal users will appreciate the responsive analogue platform that takes drive and modulation pedals cleanly, while the simple single-channel layout keeps beginners from getting lost in menus.

Orange — British Amp Heritage and the Crush Series

The Crush series first launched in the year 2000 and has been refined ever since, with the latest generation representing some of the most significant upgrades in the line's history. King's X guitarist Ty Tabor notes, "I use Crush live and it's my number one amp in the studio." Built with the iconic orange tolex and pics-only control layout, this combo carries forward Orange's signature bold design and unmistakable British tone.
