- 6-way rear-panel power attenuator scales output from 85W down to 0.5W for bedroom-friendly playing
- Balanced XLR line output with three switchable impulse response (IR) cabinet simulations for direct recording and live FOH
- Lightweight resonant pine cabinet at 13.6 kg
- Vintage/Tight switch, effects loop for time-based effects, and included 2-button footswitch for reverb and FX loop engage
Fender Tone Master '59 Twin JB Edition — Joe Bonamassa's Signature Tweed Twin
The Fender Tone Master '59 Twin JB Edition is the first signature amplifier in Fender's Tone Master series, digitally recreating Joe Bonamassa's legendary late-1950s "high-powered" Tweed Twin. Built around the classic 5F8-A circuit, this 2-channel modeling combo captures the bold cleans and raging overdrive of an original tube Twin without the back-breaking weight or window-shaking volume. It is built for blues-rock guitarists, tone chasers, and professional players on stage, in the studio, and at home.
Celestion JB Neodymium Speakers and Convolution Spring Reverb
Two 12-inch Celestion JB neodymium speakers are voiced to Joe's specifications, delivering tight low-end articulation and sparkling highs clean or pushed into overdrive. Onboard convolution spring reverb adds a splashy, spacious character no original Tweed-era Twin ever offered. A rear-panel Vintage/Tight switch selects between old-school low-end looseness or a firmer, modern response.
85W Power with 6-Way Attenuator
Output power and headroom matter most when chasing the harmonic saturation that made the original Twin legendary. The 6-way rear-panel attenuator scales the amp from full 85W down to 0.5W, so players can dial in edge-of-breakup tones and pushed power-amp sag at living-room levels without sacrificing dynamic feel.
- Wattage: 85 W at 4 ohms — full Fender power for stage use
- Power Attenuator: 6-way rear-panel selector, full power plus five attenuated settings down to 0.5 W
- Voltage: 100–240 VAC universal — playable worldwide
Celestion JB Neodymium Speakers in a Lightweight Pine Cabinet
Speaker choice and cabinet construction shape how an amp moves air. The two custom-voiced Celestion JB neodymium drivers keep weight down while delivering the punchy response Joe demands from his vintage Twins. The resonant pine cabinet keeps the whole amp at 13.6 kg.
- Speakers: Two 12" Celestion JB neodymium — voiced to Joe's specifications
- Cabinet: Lightweight resonant pine
- Total Impedance: 4 ohms
- Dimensions (W × H × D): 67.31 × 44.5 × 26.7 cm
- Weight: 13.6 kg
Two Channels, FX Loop, IR Line Out, and Tone Master IR Manager
Modern connectivity turns a vintage-voiced combo into a complete stage and studio tool. The balanced XLR line output with three switchable impulse response (IR) cabinet simulations sends authentic direct tones to a console or audio interface, while the Tone Master IR Manager app loads custom IRs via USB.
- Channels: Two — Normal and Bright
- Controls: Normal Volume, Bright Volume, Treble, Bass, Middle, Presence, Reverb
- Effects Loop: For time-based effects, footswitchable
- Line Output: Balanced XLR with three IR cabinet simulations, configurable via Tone Master IR Manager app
- Footswitch: 2-button, included — engages reverb and FX loop
Built for Blues-Rock Guitarists, Tone Purists, and Gigging Players
This signature combo is the right choice for blues-rock guitarists, vintage tone purists, and gigging professionals who need authentic late-1950s Tweed Twin character at manageable volumes and weights. Players who have chased the legendary 5F8-A circuit through decades of touring will recognize the bold cleans and ragged overdrive, while modern players gain a digital combo that records direct via IRs and scales from full stage power down to apartment-friendly levels. Joe Bonamassa fans get an amp personally approved by the man himself.
Joe Bonamassa and Fender's Tone Master Series
Joe Bonamassa's ascent to blues superstardom began at age 12, opening for B.B. King in 1989, and his "Nerdville" vintage gear collections in LA and Nashville have made him one of the most respected gear connoisseurs in modern blues. The Tone Master series brings classic Fender circuits into a lighter, digital format with modern stage and studio features. This is the first artist model in the Tone Master line.
