The GForce Oberheim Matrix-12 is the only officially licensed software recreation of the 1985 Oberheim polysynth, developed with original designer Marcus Ryle. Twelve voices, a fifteen-mode filter and Matrix Modulation routing come together in a downloadable plug-in for macOS and Windows. Vangelis, Depeche Mode and The Orb relied on the original for its thick pads and textures.

Matrix Modulation Made Visible

What made the original famous was letting any modulation source reach any destination. GForce rebuilt that with drag-and-drop routing, six bipolar slots per parameter and a green corona on each knob. A Flow diagram and Mod Matrix view make the routing visible and editable at a glance.
