Epiphone Prophecy Flying V Orchid Bloom Satin Guitarra eléctrica

Epiphone Prophecy Flying V Orchid Bloom Satin — Modern Speed, Iconic Shape

The Epiphone Prophecy Flying V in Orchid Bloom Satin is a full redesign of the 1958 Flying V silhouette, built from the ground up for players who demand uncompromising speed, precision, and tonal authority. A satin-finished mahogany body topped with a highly figured flame maple veneer gives the instrument its aggressive visual signature and a resonant, focused tonal foundation. The thermally aged one-piece maple neck is reinforced with graphite rods and carved to Epiphone's HyperGlide profile, offering a slim yet substantial D shape that stays fluid under heavy riffing and fast lead work. This model is the right choice for modern metal and hard rock guitarists who need an extended 25.5" scale, premium appointments, and Fishman Fluence active electronics in a stage-ready package.

Custom Fishman Fluence Electronics and DAPS Pickup Mounting

What separates this Flying V from its predecessors is the custom-voiced Fishman Fluence pickup set, designed specifically for the Prophecy series and offering three distinct tonal voices from a single HH layout. Epiphone's Dual-Axis Pickup Stabilization (DAPS) system anchors each pickup in a precision-machined pocket with integrated stabilizing wings, keeping the pickups aligned and parallel to the strings without traditional mounting rings. The LockTone Modern bridge pairs roller saddles with a string-through-body layout adapted from Epiphone's 1930s Frequensator tailpiece, balancing bass-string tension against treble-string slink for articulate low end and expressive bends.

Mahogany Body with Flame Maple Veneer — Built for Heavy Tones

The body combines genuine mahogany with a highly figured flame maple veneer, finished in a low-glare Orchid Bloom Satin that lets the figured top read clearly under stage lighting. Multi-ply white binding outlines the top, complementing the black hardware and the dark satin finish. The mahogany core delivers the warm, focused midrange that Flying V players have relied on since 1958, while the flame maple veneer adds visual depth without compromising the body's fundamental voice.

• Body Material: Mahogany — warm, focused midrange foundation for high-gain tones
• Top Material: Flame Maple Veneer — figured top with multi-ply white binding
• Finish: Orchid Bloom Satin — low-glare surface that highlights the figured maple

HyperGlide Neck and Compound-Radius Ebony Fingerboard — Built for Speed

A thermally aged one-piece maple neck runs the full length of the instrument, with graphite rod reinforcement for long-term stability under string tension and climate changes. The HyperGlide profile is slim enough for fast lead work yet substantial enough to anchor the thumb during rhythm playing. The bound ebony fingerboard shifts from a 254 mm radius at the nut to a 355.6 mm radius near the body, supporting both chord work and high-fret bends.

• Neck Material: One-Piece Thermally Aged Maple — graphite-reinforced for stability
• Scale Length: 648 mm — extended scale ideal for drop tunings
• Fingerboard: Ebony, 254–356 mm compound radius with 24 stainless steel frets

Fishman Fluence Pickups and Locking Hardware — Stage-Ready Performance

Two Fishman Fluence humbuckers, custom-voiced for the Prophecy series, deliver three distinct tonal voices: a modern high-output active humbucker tone, a vintage Patent Applied For-inspired humbucker character, and an optimized single-coil-inspired voice, selected via the push/pull master volume and tone controls, while a 3-way toggle handles pickup selection. Locking Grover Rotomatic tuners, a GraphTech nut, and the LockTone Modern bridge keep the guitar in tune through heavy use and drop tunings.

• Pickups: Fishman Fluence HH — three voices via push/pull volume and tone controls
• Tuners: Grover Locking Rotomatic with GraphTech nut for tuning stability
• Bridge: LockTone Modern Tune-O-Matic with roller saddles and string-through-body tailpiece

Built for Modern Metal, Hard Rock, and Drop-Tuning Players

The Epiphone Prophecy Flying V Orchid Bloom Satin is aimed at guitarists who play modern metal, hard rock, progressive rock, and any genre where drop tunings and high-gain tones are central to the sound. The 25.5" scale length, 24 stainless steel frets, and Fishman Fluence active electronics make it equally suited to studio recording and live performance, while the HyperGlide neck profile rewards players who favor fast alternate picking and legato runs. Players who have outgrown entry-level Flying V models and want premium appointments, modern electronics, and a road-ready Protector Ultralite case will find this instrument a complete package. The Prophecy Flying V is the right choice for serious players who need an iconic silhouette paired with modern performance specifications.

The Flying V Legacy — From 1958 to the Prophecy Era

The Flying V debuted in 1958 as one of Gibson's most radical designs, and over the decades it has been embraced by legendary players including Jimi Hendrix, Albert King, Kirk Hammett, and Dave Mustaine. The Epiphone Prophecy series re-envisions that legacy for today's high-performance player, combining the Flying V's unmistakable silhouette with modern specifications like an extended 25.5" scale, thermally aged maple neck, and Fishman Fluence active electronics. The Prophecy Flying V represents the forefront of Epiphone's Modern Collection, designed for speed, comfort, and consistency on stage and in the studio.
